Basics
This is the place to start reading. It explains the basics and give you useful links dedicated to beginner.
Introduction
ShiVa3D is the developers’ tool of choice for easily creating amazing 3D real-time applications and games for Windows, Mac OS, Linux, iPhone, Android, Palm, Wii and the iPad.
The Editor
The Editor is a WYSIWYG software for designing games and applications.
It allows to create particle effects, trails, animation; design HUDs, materials, terrains, ocean, script AIs in LUA and assign sounds with ease.
First of all download and install ShiVa 3D PLE, free and non time-limited for Windows or Mac OS under Parallels.
Included : ShiVa Editor PLE, ShiVa Authoring Tool, ShiVa Mobile Development Tools, ShiVa Server PLE and ShiVa Players.

The Script
ShiVa scripting is based upon an optimized version of Lua, allowing you to create complex behavior.
Start reading the script introduction, witch is a pretty solid overview of all the ShiVa Script concepts.
The Authoring Tool
This free single tool compiles projects generated by ShiVa Editor into executable applications for all the supported devices : Windows, Mac, Linux, iPhone, iPad, Android, Palm and Wii.

The ShiVa Minute
ShiVa Minute – the video tutorial series that makes you learn ShiVa in no time!
This series was designed as a Quick Start Guide and covers most of the frequently asked basics.
It does not go too deep, but should provide you with enough information to get you up and running.

Read the unofficial ShiVa Book created by Shando : “The book is split into 17 Chapters, which I hope give a good introduction to ShiVa. In all of the Chapters, I’ve tried to use standard Stonetrip demos to explain part of what the Chapter’s about”.
