Hi all and to the guys at Stonetrip,
I do hope to grab Shiva 2.0 soon.
Downloaded and tried the free web edition but got a tad disappointed by the Lua stripping.
I developed more than a couple of games with Lua and found it extremely powerful and easy in its "complete" form.
I do hope they will include all the standard libraries and the full language in Shiva 2.0.
After that, it will definitely be my platform of choice.
Happy development to everybody.

I guess that the biggest problem is that full lua doesnt play nicely when converted to c++, which is used to create the actual platform code.

@DoctorPepper
Yup I can see that can be an issue. Although I believe you can still have the option to Jit compile it... no c++ source conversion of course.
Actually for v. 2.0 they confirmed full Lua 5.1 support...which is great if they also support native code conversion.
@CovertStudios
Indeed, Shiva is attractive for the price point and its multiplatform support. And Lua of course.
Apparently there will be shaders support as well in the next version, which makes it even more interesting.
I just hope 2.0 will be out soon enough!
