Is Augmented Reality supported by Shiva?
ShiVa Plugin DevelopmentIs Augmented Reality supported by Shiva?

Hello everybody!
I'm a bit confused about AR plugins for Shiva...
I've read several posts related this topic, and several announcements of both Shiva and independent developers of plugins for AR coming soon... but those post have more than a year long.
Also, I'm surprised of find official documentation related an Artoolkit API already integrated in Shiva:
http://www.stonetrip.com/developer/doc/api/ARToolKit-setMarkerPatternAt
But even when it is documented, I was not able to use this API...
My question is: is there any out of the box AR plugin/code for Shiva?
Thanks in advance!

The API doc has been there to read for ages (>1year) in the online documentation. You just had to find it. Not that it means anything.

The integrated one is not finished yet.
Only a demo is available in that page. The demo works only for a minute. I contact the guys and seems they are not planning to distribute the plugin for Shiva... We have to do it by our own or wait until Shiva adds the feature.

By using Google
Then, I'm feeling a bit disappointed, since in the official features page says:
http://www.stonetrip.com/new-features.html
"Plug-ins allow developers to extends engine capabilities by including add-on like PhysX physics engine, Fmod sounds library, ARToolkit."
Of course, nowhere says it already includes the plugin... but when you read this before buy it... well, I supposed it already includes it, since it mention ARToolkit for about a couple of years...
I paid for a license of Shiva, and I think is the best, but please, can an Administrator give us a launch date of the plugin?
Everyone that buys a license for commercial purposes I'm sure that is needing this confirmation (since there are several free and paid plugins for Unity).
Thanks!

Hi everybody,
sorry for the confusion. The appearance of the ARToolkit in the official documentation is an oversight, it is not part of ShiVa today. We have removed all references from the website.
However, this plugin exists as a rather old test build. We intend to polish and release it to the shiva store some time after it has opened for all customers.
