Angry Driver - Pole Position type remake with something more

Angry Driver brings you the best racing track driving game. A design based on a mix of the best of the worlds racing tracks (I had to simplify alot as I had a ton of problems with a complex track) and racing drivers opinions.

Superb graphics (by my standards! nice use of Ambient occlusion burnt onto the models), racing music (maybe not have to wait and see the performance issues on iPhone and iPad), drifting into the bends.
Race against other drivers and knock them off the race track.
Your car is the heaviest on the race circuit so throw it about and use it to your advantage!

I need to improve the rotation of other cars but apart from that Im quite pleased with it.

Heck, might want to check the net for some models. Cars are all over the place and a lot of them are free to very, very cheap.

Did you use the Shiva car demo as the basis for this - with the sphere objects for wheels, etc.? If so, I'd be interested in hearing how you got on with it - especially, steering and other behaviour of vehicles at high speeds.

Looks cool, only thing I would say is that the camera falls far too far behind the car.

Would you be interested in selling rights to your car script? I need to work on mine rather than the default that comes with the car demo, but i've been putting it off for far too long. Your's looks from the video to be close to what i want, but would love to try it.

Hi Sorry I forgot to check the notify me when I get a response.

Regarding the camera falling behind. I have now made it stay much closer, I personally like it falling behind, I think it adds to the feeling of speed. It doesn't help the driver control the car, so fixed camera wins.

I used the demo car basis and code for the main car. By far the biggest challange was getting this to work realistically. I spent more time tweaking the settings and working out what differences things make to the overall effect of the drive.

The other time was spent on the other cars, this is still a work in progress as I am sure I could make them better , both in terms of graphics and AI.

I thought about using the acceleremoter for steering but decided it gives me a crook in my neck. So various buttons for turning.

I also want to add open feint but I spent a day playing with and decided I would add it later.

This has been by far the longest I have spent on a game and I imagine I will only get a sale or 2 a day. So Im off to finish my mega pirate game.

I also had my first upload rejected becuase part of the hud was off the screen on an iPad. So fingers crossed for the second review.

regarding the name Angry Driver I was inspired more by Lewis Hamiltons antics from a few years ago when he seemed to be absolutely aggressive.
