Hi all :)
The first iPhone / iPod touch application made with ShiVa is now available on AppStore. This little game is free, and we'll publish the sources in few days. It is not "the game of the year", but we did not make it for that ;)
Technically, the game includes :
- 3D rendering
- 2D rendering (menus)
- Audio playback (music + fx)
- Physics
- Particles ( available in fun modes )
- Web server connection (to send and retrieve scores)
- Accelerometer inputs
Levels specifications :
Level 01 : 87 objects, 1800 faces, 800ko for textures
Level 02 : 100 objects, 5500 faces, 1100ko for textures
Level 03 : 87 objects, 3500 faces, 450ko for textures
/* edit october 23 */ sources are available : http://developer.stonetrip.com/Applicat ... ource.html
App Store link : click here
Web site : click here

NiCoX - I just downloaded the game and played the first two levels. Your game is just wonderful! It looks good and it plays great!
I've been following the other engines for the iPhone and this is the first that I've seen that has a demo for the iPhone itself. Nice job!

NiCoX - Is the logo at the start of the game required?
Also, the keyboard implementation for high score saving is a little rough. It doesn't work like that normal default keyboard. Is there an issue there?
Otherwise, iBall3D looks and runs well. The physics feel right.

No, in upcoming versions of the AuthoringTool we'll provide a way to replace it by yours.

I agree with you. The only reason for the look is the time we spent on it (this is a fake keyboard, made with ShiVa's HUDEditor, not an iPhone built-in keyboard).

tatoforever says: The next iBall3D (Iball3D 2), 3-5 $ Should sell well enough dissonance.
NiCox - I think you can adjust the price of app on the store. I wonder what would happen if you changed the price to .99? :)

@ NiCox: I bought the advanced version for several reasons, one of which for some reason I thought would get rid of the Ston logo video at startup. So naturally, I can't wait to have a version that will let me replace it. Do you have an ETA on the new authoring tool that allows it?

Hi denbo25,
Sorry for the delay, we've just released a 1.6 version of the authoring tool, with no startup animation.
