Interlaced stereoscopic mode glitch
Report bugs and issuesInterlaced stereoscopic mode glitch

Hello,
I´m currently looking into the possibility of converting a game to use Shiva´s stereoscopic modes for 3D viewing on a row interlaced passive-3D monitor.
Top-bottom and side-by-side stereoscopic modes works beautifully but interlaced modes (mode 3 and 4) have some glitches with some objects appearing transparent or above all others.
I´ve attached a screenshot showing some of the problems. To the left, it can be seem that the billboard is partly showing the background.
The problem seems to be related to z-buffer, and the stereo mode is messing with it. Is this a known bug and are there any workarounds for this?
Thanks!

Hi,
Some questions:
1. do you experience that problem in both the editor and the latest UAT 1.4.beta2?
2. do you experience that problem if dynamic shadows are disabled?
3. do you experience that problem if bloom is disabled? (currently bloom may not be fully compatible with interlaced stereoscopic rendering)
Pretty nice graphics BTW. Is it an already published app?

Hey, thanks for the quick reply!
The latest UAT shows no improvements but I tried disabling dynamic shadows and things now work much much better.
A few glitches can still be seem: particles and polytrails appear even if they are fully occluded but these glitches are much less perceptible.
I know that probably few people would use the stereoscopic feature of Shiva but I hope this gets some love by the developers too. As more 3D-ready monitors become common, this could be a nice feature to have well polished.
About the game, it´s in its final stages and will be available in an arcade format (which could have the 3D option) and other platforms. A short demo video is available here.
