Awesome news guys :P

My son and me have been watching the funding for the last few days following our pledge - he desperately wanted the evil pet pig  (he's got a real one as a pet, but he also wanted one in Nekro as well  )

Loved update 10, especially the shout out to ShiVa and Stonetrip 8)

All the best and can't wait for beta testing to start :D

Regards

Shando

Hey everybody!! Thanks so much for the support!! I can't wait to make this game and be able to do it using my favorite engine! :)

Just a reminder for any of you budding developers, we are offering a live stream to our $99 backers. On this stream we'll be coding, basically all day every day for the next year or so, in ShiVa and we'll be available to chat while we do it. This can be a great way to learn some new techniques, ask questions and see how a real game studio makes a game using ShiVa. At this time of writing there is still 65 hours to snatch up the collector's edition box copy and gain access to the stream: http://www.kickstarter.com/projects/343838885/nekro :)

Thanks so much for all the kind words and well wishes guys! It's a good day to be a ShiVa developer :D

Just passed $130K with 26 Hours to go :D

One final push for $140K (maybe even $150K with a bit of luck!!!)

All the best to the guys & girls at DarkForge - can't wait for June 2013

Congrats on the kickstarter. I like the concept and it sounds like a lot of (not so harmless) sick fun :D

You guys rlly should consider coop even if you don't hit the kickstarter extended goal.
I know that it's a lot of work and will flip the balance and the design of the game on it's head, but there is nothing more fun than terrorizing a village with a buddy

ThePunge : Hi.. I really admire your game and even how well did your campaign on kickstarter go.
I would like to ask, if you could share a bit on how did you approach the promotion of the campaign. I'm looking for some tips & ideas what would be best for promoting crowd sourced campaign of my own http://www.indiegogo.com/starshooter. Don't want to spam your thread, but I want to ask if you may share, what steps did you take, please ?

Hi Guys,

Noticed you made the switch to unity. Can you provide some insight into how you came to the critical decision to change engines?

Interesting question indeed, as in http://www.shivaengine.com/developer/1882-case-study-nekro it sounded like you guys already took quite some time to evaluate different engines.
And the kickstarter demo video looked like quite some gameplay already implemented.

What were the key factors for changing?

Thanks!

I would guess for a game with this success on kickstarter and potential a key factor is support of engine and 'future safety'
